Cleveland City Schools will provide an opportunity for students to transfer from virtual school class to traditional, in-person class at the semester break. The open window for enrolled students and their families notifying the school of their second semester placement choice is November 2 - November 13. Students may remain in the Virtual School of Cleveland as long as the student is in good standing with grades, attendance, and discipline.
New enrollment into the Virtual School of Cleveland for second semester will be limited. Transfer requests from traditional, in-person to the virtual setting will be made to the principal of the student’s school. The principal will review the student’s performance record (grades, attendance, and discipline) and decisions for virtual school enrollment will be made on a case-by-case basis. The school administrator will consult with the district’s virtual school coordinator to determine second semester placement.
